Tony Cook from SMS snags a major Samson

A fishing trip for Q Vids clients headed up by our very own Phil Marks last month was a “swimming” success.

Friday 19 November 2010 was a gorgeous 40 degree day, so as you could imagine there was a ship load of sublock applied! The ocean was a bit choppy in the morning but calmed on the way back to shore. All the guests enjoyed a sausage sizzle lunch, the odd brewsky, softdrinks, amognst other delights. Tony Cook from SMS Security landed a 30kg Samson which won him a new QVS Colour Video Door Intercom System for his effort, whilst a 300kg, 10 foot Blue Whaler Shark took a joint effort to land.

Phil handing out a 1st prize flexing just a little too much muscle. That aint natural Phil, ok!

Clients and staff at Q Video Systems WA Fishing Tip

Phil took a flying leap from the boat into the sea after a customer’s fish came off the hook. To everyone’s amazement, Phil was in the drink surrounded by sharks eating the Samson. Nice one Phil! lol. Overall it was a fantastic day and will be remembered by all.

This may turn into an annual event with perhaps 2 boats next year! Hopefully without Phil’s daring shark eating theatrics, or maybe not, we’ll see how his sales figures are going.

Across all industries, companies have long been touting the green benefits of their products. To a lesser extent, companies are taking a serious look at their own environmental impacts and finding ways to reduce their footprints.

And the IT industry has been working to move its green impacts beyond the data center and office desktop out to the larger world of business operations — a move called, variously “IT for Green” or “Green IT 2.0.”

Compatibility between user owned back to base alarms and personal medical response devices and the Optus Telephony Network The quality of services supplied to customers is of the utmost importance to Optus.

Optus recently engaged with ASIAL to investigate reports of alleged device incompatibility between the Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) your members supply and the CPE we supply to mutual customers to access the Optus HFC (Cable) Telephony Network. Initial reports suggest the cause of the problem may be that some monitored alarms and personal medical response devices are incompatible with the Optus HFC Network.

Optus has, where these issues could not be rectified, supplied the customer with a telephone service that utilises older technology. Obviously this is not a long term solution and Optus is keen to assist with the resolution of faults which will inevitably only increase with the advent of the NBN or any other network that utilises VoIP as its underlying technology.
